Krasnoyarsk Kray increased the supply of certain goods to the global market

The main export products of the region remained non-ferrous metals (aluminium, copper, Nickel), as well as products of the timber processing complex. In the first half of 2016 the export of processed timber reached 196 million dollars against 182 million dollars in January-June last year.

Grain crops entered the top ten important products of the region in the global market –the value of their export amounted to almost 23 million dollars. The supplies increased 19 times compared to the first half of last year. The main consumer was Mongolia. Krasnoyarsk Kray also exported 600 thousand tons of coal in the amount of 19.6 million dollars and about 4.5 thousand units of refrigerators, freezers, refrigerating and freezing equipment amounting to 11.3 million dollars.

Today among the major trading partners of the region are the states of Europe and the European Union (Netherlands, Germany, France, Finland, Switzerland), Asia (China, Japan, Korea), the USA and Turkey. In the first half of 2016 export to China reached 306 million dollars against 238 million dollars for the same period last year, in particular, there was increase in the supplies of lead concentrate.

The Deputy Chairman of Krasnoyarsk Kray Government, the Ministry of Economic Development, Investment Policy and Foreign Economic Relations Viktor Zubarev has stated that despite the fall in the global price of essential products, the physical volume of export grew by almost a third. The supplies of solid fuel, ore and concentrates, grain increased. “Sales turnover grows with a number of old and new foreign partners. Among them are China, Mongolia, India, Norway, France, Montenegro, South Africa and others.

All these states have considerably increased the import of goods produced in the territory. In general, our region maintains trade relations with the companies and organisations from more than 80 countries in the world,” Viktor Zubarev said.
